What does neuroqueer mean?

The term neuroqueer was coined by Dr. Nick Walker to capture the natural intersection of neurodivergence and queerness. The active practice of “queering” neuronormativity involves disrupting rigid expectations about thinking, behavior, communication, and identity.

Dr. Nick Walker’s work has inspired us to consider what it means to neuroqueer therapy, breaking free from the traditional models of therapy by critically examining the norms that shape diagnosis, treatment goals, and ideas of functioning.

do you have openings for new clients?

2

We usually work off of a waitlist for individual and relationship therapy. please contact us to be added to the waitlist. because of the nature of therapy openings, it can be challenging to estimate how long it will be before openings become available.

We make space for clients for gender affirming letters of support weekly. wait times for surgery letter sessions are generally 2-3 weeks. please contact us to verify if we have any openings for group therapy.
